The M-Shock rear shock absorber for Triumph Speed 400 was developed to address the limitations of the standard suspension and deliver a tangible improvement in road behaviour. It is aimed at riders looking for a better balance between comfort, stability and riding precision, whether in daily use or more committed riding.
Its adjustment system is built around a single dial acting simultaneously on compression and rebound across 48 positions. This synchronisation of both hydraulic parameters ensures a consistent balance regardless of the chosen setting, without upsetting the overall behaviour of the motorcycle. Too soft or too firm: two clicks are enough to feel the difference, directly on the motorcycle, without any tooling.
The progressive hydraulics absorb road surface irregularities effectively while maintaining a firm response under heavier compression loads, notably during hard braking or aggressive cornering. The rear wheel maintains better contact with the road surface, directly improving traction, line-holding and overall feedback to the rider.
Every shock absorber is individually tested on a Roehrig dyno before dispatch, ensuring a compliant performance curve and consistent output over time. Fitting is a direct replacement for the standard unit, with no structural modification to the motorcycle required.
Spring colour:
Solo use, rider and equipment up to 120 kg: black or red spring
Solo use, rider and equipment over 120 kg / two-up riding: red spring required

Yes. Installation is identical to the original shock. No cutting or adaptation is required. It simply replaces the stock shock using the original mounting points.
The standard version keeps the original ride height of the Triumph Speed 400, while the lowered version reduces the seat height by around 30 millimetres. This helps shorter riders access the bike more easily while preserving geometry and handling.
A single adjustment knob controls both compression and rebound. The M-Shock offers 48 clicks of adjustment. You simply add or remove a few clicks to make the suspension firmer or softer, depending on your riding style.
The M-Shock is designed to last. It is fully rebuildable and requires no scheduled maintenance unless needed. For servicing or rebuilding, Shock Factory offers full after-sales service in France.
Yes, in a positive way. The M-Shock transforms the handling of the Triumph Speed 400 by offering more stability at the rear, better traction and noticeably higher comfort, without compromising the original look or the balance of the bike.
