Accessoires Triumph Speed 400: Pulse Guide

The Triumph Speed 400 accessories in the Pulse range are built for riders who want the bike to feel sharper and look finished without a full rebuild. Tighter rear end, better suspension, cleaner cockpit. All plug & play, all from FCR Accessoires, inspired by FCR Original builds, with conception française and a 2-year warranty.

Triumph Speed 400 Pulse, build inspired by FCR Original, sharp urban roadster
Pulse: a Speed 400 you actually want to take out in the morning. More compact, sharper in every detail, and built to hold up in daily use.
Important (bike photos): some images shown below feature a short full exhaust system by FCR Accessoires installed on the bike. This complete system is not available for sale at the moment. The product currently offered in this range is the Triumph 400 exhaust muffler.

What is the Pulse range for the Triumph Speed 400?

Pulse is the FCR Accessoires accessory range built around the Triumph Speed 400. The idea is simple: the Speed 400 is already a well-sorted daily machine. Pulse takes it a step further with parts that tighten the rear, improve suspension feel, clean up the cockpit and give the exhaust a bit more presence. Every piece is plug & play, reversible, and covered by a 2-year warranty, with conception française and roots in FCR Original workshop builds.

This is not about making the Speed 400 into something it is not. It is about making it more of what it already is: light, precise, easy to ride and good to look at when you park it up.

Who is the Pulse range for?

  • Tighten the silhouette: compact rear end, cleaner indicators, sharper proportions all round.
  • Add some presence: a deeper exhaust note, premium finish details that actually hold up over time.
  • Improve what you feel: better rear suspension, cleaner brake feel, a cockpit that fits the bike.

The goal is a Speed 400 that rides as well as it looks, without turning a simple bike into a complicated one.

How does the Speed 400 Pulse ride in the real world?

The Speed 400 is a city bike that earns its keep every day. Short enough to filter traffic, light enough to flick through corners, and just characterful enough to make a commute worth doing. Pulse works with that. A tighter rear end means less wallow on broken tarmac. A compact licence plate setup means less visual clutter at the back. Mirrors that sit right. Nothing added for the sake of it.

Daily use: built to stay practical. No parts that make the bike awkward to live with.

Which accessory packs to build your Triumph Speed 400?

Three packs, three directions. Stack them or pick the one that matches your priorities. Everything is plug & play with a 2-year warranty.

Pack 1: Line and sound, for riders who want more character

Reminder: some bike photos may show a short full exhaust system that is not currently available for sale.

Pack 2: Suspension and braking, for riders who push the bike

Pack 3: Finish and details, for riders who want the bike to look sorted

Is the Triumph 400 exhaust muffler OK for technical inspection?

Yes. The Triumph 400 exhaust muffler from FCR Accessoires is listed as OK for technical inspection. Short dual outlet design, deeper tone than stock, and it fits without any cutting or welding. Bolt on, ride away.

How do you get a compact, road-legal rear end on the Speed 400?

The stock rear bracket on the Speed 400 does the job but it is not exactly subtle. A compact licence plate holder with integrated LED signals cuts the visual bulk straight away. Pair it with the homologated Mini Bates indicators and the back of the bike looks like someone actually thought about it. Both are plug & play and road legal.

Which parts make a real difference to how the Speed 400 rides?

The Speed 400 is a good chassis. Give it a rear shock that actually works and a brake hose routed properly and you start to feel like the bike was set up for you, not just assembled for a price point.

Does the M-Shock rear shock genuinely improve the Speed 400?

Yes. Noticeably better on rough urban tarmac and on longer rides two-up. More planted, less bouncy. Conception française, plug & play fitment.

What does the 90° banjo brake hose change on the Speed 400?

Cleaner routing at the master cylinder, no awkward bend in the hose. The lever feel becomes more consistent and easier to modulate, especially in slow traffic.

Which mirrors suit a Speed 400 Pulse build?

The Sport kit. Tighter profile than stock, CNC machined aluminium, and they actually stay put. Plug & play on the Speed 400 bars.

How do you protect the radiator and drivetrain on the Speed 400 in everyday use?

City riding is harder on a bike than people think. Gravel, kerb dust, the odd stone off a van tyre. The radiator guard keeps debris out without blocking airflow. The chain guard keeps the transmission cleaner and the rear end looking tidy. Worth fitting early.

FAQ: Triumph Speed 400 accessories

Which accessories should I fit first on a Triumph Speed 400?

If you want an immediate visual improvement: start with the licence plate holder and homologated turn signals, then add the Sport mirror kit. If you ride hard or on rough roads, the M-Shock rear shock will make a bigger difference to how the bike actually feels. For more exhaust character: the muffler is OK for technical inspection and bolts straight on.

The photos show a full exhaust system on the Speed 400. Is it available for sale?

No. Some images show a short full exhaust system by FCR Accessoires installed on the Speed 400. It is not available for sale at the moment. The product currently offered is the Triumph 400 exhaust muffler.

Is the Triumph 400 exhaust muffler OK for technical inspection?

Yes. The Triumph 400 exhaust muffler from FCR Accessoires is listed as OK for technical inspection. It is road legal and fits without any modification to the rest of the exhaust system.

Are the Mini Bates turn signals homologated and road legal?

Yes. The Mini Bates turn signals from FCR Accessoires are homologated and road legal. They are compliant for roadworthiness testing and listed as such on the product page.

Are all FCR Accessoires parts for the Speed 400 plug & play?

Yes. Every part in the Pulse range follows a plug & play logic: clean fitment, fully reversible, no drilling or structural changes required. Check the individual product pages for exact compatibility details.

Which mirrors work best on a Speed 400 built in the Pulse style?

The Sport kit is the natural choice. Tighter profile, CNC machined aluminium, and they sit properly on the Speed 400 bars. Plug & play fitment.

Does the M-Shock rear shock make a noticeable difference on the Speed 400?

Yes, and it is one of the more underrated upgrades on this bike. The stock shock does the job, but on broken urban tarmac or longer rides, the M-Shock gives you noticeably more control and less fatigue. It also handles two-up riding much better. See: M-Shock Speed 400.

What warranty do FCR Accessoires parts carry?

2-year warranty on all FCR Accessoires accessories.

Can FCR Accessoires help me put together a custom Pulse-inspired Speed 400?

Yes. If you want to go further than off-the-shelf accessories, the Pulse universe exists as a full workshop build via FCR Original. Custom seat, specific finishes, the works. For part selection and advice, just get in touch with FCR Accessoires.

Where do you start with the Speed 400 Pulse build?

The Speed 400 is already a good bike. Pulse is about making it yours: tighter, sharper, better set up for how you actually ride. Start with one pack, add the rest over time. Every part earns its place.
