A sump guard usually fits onto the existing engine cradle mountings, with no modification to the bike. It bolts to points provided under the engine.You position the guard, line the hardware up with the fixing points, then tighten. On some bikes, the location used is that of an original part that has been removed, such as the catalytic converter.The FCR Original sump guard fits this way on the Triumph Modern Classic, with the supplied hardware.

This sump guard is designed for Triumph Modern Classic from 2016 to 2021, on models with the original catalytic converter at this location. It fixes to the engine cradle.The mounting uses the existing fixings, at the original catalytic converter location. Compatibility therefore depends on the configuration of that cradle by model and year.Before ordering, check your model and year; our FCR Accessoires team will confirm the eligibility of your Triumph.

Installation is done in two steps, on the engine cradle mountings, with no modification. 1. Position the screws on the engine cradle mountings, at the original catalytic converter location. 2. Secure the guard with the two supplied TBHC M6x20 screws, M6 washers and M6 Nylstop nuts. The hardware is supplied and the installation requires no adaptation. Refer to the manual for the detail.

This sump guard is made of aluminium, a material that combines strength and lightness. It protects the lower engine effectively while limiting the weight added to the bike. Its dimensions (around 91.70 mm high, 172 mm wide, 260.44 mm long) cover the exposed area under the engine. Aluminium withstands the impacts and spray of everyday and off-road use. You choose it in a Black or Brushed finish depending on the style you want.

The Black finish gives a discreet, integrated look, while the Brushed finish leaves the aluminium visible for a rawer look. Both share the same guard and the same mounting. The Black version blends under the engine; the Brushed version catches the light and emphasises the workshop feel. The choice is purely aesthetic.
