A wrap-around engine guard designed to provide long-term protection for the Triumph Scrambler 400 X & XC (2024+)
This engine guard has been specifically developed for the Triumph Scrambler 400 X and Scrambler 400 XC from 2024 onwards. It replaces the OEM component with a more protective and rigid version, designed to secure the lower engine area for mixed road and gravel use.
The lower section of the single-cylinder engine and exposed peripheral components particularly the expansion tank are directly subjected to debris and light impacts. The widened side extensions increase the coverage area and reduce direct exposure to gravel and road debris, while maintaining ground clearance consistent with scrambler use.
The folded and welded structure provides rigidity adapted to the mechanical and thermal stresses specific to the 400 platform. This design ensures long-term stability and strong vibration resistance, without adding unnecessary complexity to the original architecture.
From an aesthetic standpoint, the volumes and cut-outs visually reinforce the lower section of the motorcycle. The engine guard structures the lower line and enhances the scrambler identity of the X and XC versions, in coherence with the rest of the protection range.
Installation is carried out as a direct replacement of the original engine guard, reusing the OEM mounting points. The fitment remains clean and fully reversible, with no frame modification required. Made in France, this engine guard is part of a functional and long-lasting upgrade strategy for the Scrambler 400.

The engine guard protects the lower crankcase as well as the expansion tank thanks to its enveloping design with extended side flanges. It reduces risks related to gravel projection and light impacts, particularly useful for daily riding or degraded road conditions.
Assertive Technical Design
The cutouts, bends and welded reinforcements provide a more robust appearance than the original part. It visually structures the lower section of the Triumph 400 and reinforces its roadster or scrambler identity depending on the model.
Precise and Secure Installation
The kit includes flange socket head screws adapted for installation: 2 × M6×10 screws for front mounting 2 × M6×20 screws for rear mounting Replacement is carried out directly in place of the OEM engine guard, with no modification required. Installation remains clean, stable and fully reversible.

Is this engine guard compatible with all Triumph 400 models from 2024 onward?
Yes. The FCR-TR-SM007 engine guard is compatible with the entire Triumph 400 platform from 2024 onward: Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, Scrambler 400 XC, Speed T4, Thruxton 400 and Tracker 400.
How is the Triumph 400 engine guard installed?
Installation consists of removing the original engine guard and fitting the new model using the supplied screws (2 flange screws M6×10 at the front and 2 flange screws M6×20 at the rear). No modification to the frame or engine is required.
Does it really protect the expansion tank?
Yes. Thanks to its extended side flanges, it protects not only the lower engine casing but also exposed peripheral components, including the expansion tank.
Does the additional weight affect riding?
At approximately 1 kg, the dynamic impact is negligible. The added mechanical protection largely outweighs the slight increase in weight.
