The BMW R18 rear fender was developed to replace the original plastic wheel arch with an aluminium part of cleaner design. Made for all BMW R18 models, it follows a logic of visual lightness and aesthetic coherence with a bike you want to keep sober and distinguished.

Its first contribution is stylistic. By replacing the bulky original part, it visually lightens the rear of the bike and underlines the curves of the cruiser. The result is a finer, more modern rear line that respects the classic, timeless look of the R18.

Made from aluminium, it provides effective protection against spray from the rear wheel while staying light and durable. The material resists weather and keeps its look over time, with no particular care, for a clean workshop finish.

Its design makes it compatible with rear wheels of 16, 17, 18 and 19 inches, whether you keep the original wheel or personalise the bike. The mounting brackets, the spacer and the hardware are supplied, with the threadlocker, for a controlled fitting.

❯ How do you fit the rear fender?

Fitting is more involved and a workshop is recommended. 1. Remove the rear wheel. 2. Remove the original plastic wheel arch. 3. Secure the fender at the front with the 2 M6 screws and their stainless washers. 4. Position the shorter bracket on the cardan side with the M8x20 screw. 5. Refit the wheel. 6. Screw the two brackets to the fender with the M8x15 screws and plastic washers. 7. Align the assembly, tighten securely and retighten the rear wheel. Fit all hardware with the supplied threadlocker.

Good quality on all the products

Good quality on all the products. I have a Speed Twin 900 (2026), the radiator grill fit right on, the skid plate looks good and fits nicely. Here you should be aware that it is very difficult to mount without removing the catalytic converter. The chain guard I received does not fit my bike, even though it said on the website that it would. Here FCR has promised to send one that fits.
