The RX Duke Sun belongs to the iconic Duke line by Brett Eyewear, the flagship model of the French brand. Inspired by speed enthusiasts and free spirits, the Duke features a retro style and sporty allure inspired by speed. A declaration of audacity, an invitation to venture off-road. The RX version, presented here, offers an acetate front on a stainless steel frame, where the classic Duke is entirely in acetate. A technical variant that brings rigidity, finesse and an assertive visual presence.
The main differentiating feature of The RX Duke Sun for motorcyclists: the paddle tip. Unlike classic rounded or curved tips, the paddle tip is flat and tapered, specifically designed to slip perfectly under a helmet without creating a pressure point behind the ear. It is the most accomplished solution for motorcyclists who spend long hours with their sunglasses under a helmet. No more discomfort after a few kilometres, no more difficulty putting on or removing the helmet between two stops.
The construction combines the best materials of high-end eyewear. Premium acetate constitutes the front face, bringing the depth of colour and tactile quality characteristic of high-end frames. 304 stainless steel structures the temples and frame, more corrosion-resistant than standard steels. This acetate-stainless steel combination produces a mastered balance between elegance and technicality, with no compromise on durability.
The format is the largest of the Brett selection: 60 mm lens size, for an assertive visual presence that defines the Duke signature. The Duke are sunglasses that do not go unnoticed. They integrate particularly well with racing café racer builds, sporty neo-retro builds and lifestyle universes with strong character.
The high-quality Divel polarized lenses reduce sun reflections on the road, wet asphalt and metallic surfaces. The polarizing filter improves contrast, reduces visual fatigue over long distances and allows for better reading of road relief. A real technical protection that goes beyond the aesthetic function of a simple pair of sunglasses.
Three colours are available depending on your build and wardrobe: Khaki / Silver for a vintage military touch that integrates with scrambler and trail builds, Green / Copper for a sophisticated cool-warm contrast, Matt Black / Silver for total integration with dark builds and assertive café racers. Each pair is delivered in its rigid protective case with microfibre pouch and original Brett craft packaging.
For any question about colour choice or compatibility with your helmet, the FCR Accessoires team is available by phone or email.

Discover Brett EyewearThe paddle tip refers to the flat and tapered shape at the end of the temples, as opposed to classic rounded or curved tips. On traditional sunglasses, the rounded tip creates a pressure point behind the ear when slipped under a helmet, especially after several hours of use. The paddle tip, thinner and more profiled, slips naturally between the head and the inside of the helmet without creating this pressure point. It is the most accomplished solution for motorcyclists who spend long hours with their sunglasses under a helmet.
The classic The Duke Sun is entirely in acetate, from the front to the temples. The RX Duke Sun, the version presented here, offers an acetate front on a stainless steel frame, which noticeably modifies the result: the front retains the depth of colour of acetate, but the stainless steel frame brings additional rigidity, more pronounced finesse and a slightly more technical visual presence. The choice between the two depends mainly on the style sought: full acetate for a warm and material look, RX for a more rigorous and architectural rendering.
The 60 mm format is the largest of the Brett selection, so to be preferred for wide faces (width between temples greater than 140 mm) or for those who deliberately seek an assertive visual presence. For medium to narrow faces, this format may be too imposing. If you are unsure, measure the width of your face between the temples or contact the FCR Accessoires team for advice before purchase.
The 11 mm bridge is indeed narrow, which corresponds to the Duke design for a close-to-face fit. This format is particularly suitable for narrow or medium noses. For people with a wider nose or a marked spacing between the eyes, other Brett models such as the Barry Sun (19 mm bridge) or the Juan Sun (17 mm bridge) will be more comfortable. If in doubt, the FCR Accessoires team can advise you according to your morphology.
The Khaki / Silver offers a vintage military shade that integrates with scrambler, trail and roadster builds with natural dominants. The Green / Copper combines a deep green and warm copper for a sophisticated contrast, particularly successful on neo-retro and café racer builds with warm finishes. The Matt Black / Silver provides total integration with dark builds and assertive café racers, with a matt finish that reinforces the sporty allure.
Yes, but with some clarifications. The Duke with paddle tips are designed to integrate particularly well with Hedon, Bell, Shoei, Arai jet and full-face helmets, and other premium brands. On full-face helmets with narrow openings or very tight modular helmets, use may be less fluid. The large format (60 mm) must also remain compatible with the front opening of your helmet. If in doubt, the FCR Accessoires team can advise you according to your helmet model.
