Ed Sun by Brett Eyewear - PVD titanium and visible chamfers inspired by aeronautics, ultra-thin temples compatible with helmet wear
The Ed Sun belong to the Streamline collection by Brett Eyewear, a line inspired by the aeronautical artistic movement of the early 20th century that shaped a true aesthetic of speed. Smoothed curves, avant-garde lines, chamfers sculpted into the material: every detail of the frame takes up the codes of the streamline aircraft and automobiles of the 1930s-1940s, translated into a contemporary silhouette tailored for the modern motorcyclist.
The construction relies on titanium, the reference material in high-end eyewear. Lighter than stainless steel, more resistant to corrosion, hypoallergenic: titanium represents the absolute standard for a frame intended for intensive use. The entire structure of the Ed Sun, from the front to the temples, is machined from this noble material, with the visible chamfers that sculpt the streamlined silhouette characteristic of the model.
The defining feature of the Ed Sun for motorcyclists: the titanium temples are ultra-thin and flexible, specifically designed to slip under a helmet without discomfort at the temples. No more painful pressure after a few kilometres, no more difficulty putting on or removing the helmet between two stops. The intrinsic lightness of titanium further enhances comfort over long distances, particularly appreciable during extended rides.
The high-quality Divel polarized lenses reduce sun reflections on the road, wet asphalt and metallic surfaces. The polarizing filter improves contrast, reduces visual fatigue over long distances and allows for better reading of road relief. A real technical protection that goes beyond the aesthetic function of a simple pair of sunglasses.
Five PVD colours are available depending on your build and wardrobe: Silver for a timeless classic, Black for total integration with dark builds, Gun olive green for a vintage military touch coherent with scramblers, Pink Gold for a warm and refined touch, Marine for the signature deep midnight blue of Brett. Each pair is delivered in its rigid protective case with microfibre pouch and original Brett craft packaging.

Frequently asked questions about
THE Ed Sun | Brett Sunglasses
❯
What is Brett Eyewear's Streamline collection?
The Streamline collection takes its name from the artistic and industrial movement that emerged in the early 20th century, inspired by aeronautics and automotive design. This movement shaped a true aesthetic of speed characterised by smoothed curves, streamlined lines and visible chamfers that sculpt the material. The Brett Streamline collection takes up these codes to create frames with an aerodynamic silhouette, of which the Ed Sun is one of the emblematic models.
❯
Why choose titanium over stainless steel?
Titanium is considered the absolute reference material in high-end eyewear. It offers three major advantages over stainless steel: it is approximately 40% lighter for equivalent strength (greater comfort over long distances), it is completely rust-proof and hypoallergenic (ideal for sensitive skin), and it guarantees exceptional shape stability over time. For intensive motorcycle use, titanium is the best possible choice.
❯
What does the PVD treatment used for the colours mean?
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a surface treatment process by physical vapour deposition. This is the technology notably used in high-end watchmaking to give metal pieces their colour. On the Ed Sun, PVD allows the five colours (Silver, Black, Gun, Pink Gold, Marine) to be obtained with excellent resistance to friction, UV and time. The colour does not flake, does not tarnish, and retains its brightness even after several years of use.
❯
Are the Ed Sun really comfortable under a helmet?
Yes. The titanium temples of the Ed Sun are ultra-thin and flexible, specifically designed to slip under a helmet without creating pressure on the temples. The intrinsic lightness of titanium (approximately 40% lighter than stainless steel) further enhances this comfort, particularly appreciable on long rides. The Ed Sun slip easily under Hedon, Bell, Shoei helmets and most standard open-face or full-face helmets.
❯
What is the difference between the five available colours?
Silver offers a timeless classic that matches all builds. Black provides total integration with dark motorcycles and assertive café racer builds. Gun olive green brings a vintage military touch coherent with scramblers and off-road builds. Pink Gold combines a warm rosy tone and refined effect with a golden touch, perfect for neo-retro builds and a more assertive look. Marine is Brett's signature deep midnight blue, particularly elegant on blue or dark builds.
❯
Which size to choose and how to know if they suit my face?
The Ed Sun come in large format (lens size 56 mm). This format suits medium to wide faces and builds seeking an assertive visual presence. To check compatibility with your face, measure the width between your temples: if it is greater than 135 mm, the large format is suitable. For a narrower face, Brett offers other models in medium or small format. The FCR Accessoires team can advise you in case of hesitation.
