The Beringer Edition Black master cylinder kit was selected and configured by the FCR Original workshop to transform the cockpit of your BMW R18. It brings together a front brake master cylinder and lever and a clutch master cylinder and lever, both machined from billet and engraved FCR Original, in a logic of performance and high-end finish.

Its first contribution is braking. Thanks to Beringer's radial technology, power and modulation are clearly raised, for an immediate response and full control of the bike. More precise, more reassuring braking, in town as much as on the open road, that also reduces rider fatigue.

The parts are entirely machined from billet, a manufacturing method that guarantees strength and precision. Master cylinders and levers are machined with great care for high robustness and durability, even in the most demanding conditions. The black anodising signs a dark, even finish.

The kit suits the BMW R18 and mounts on the original handlebar as well as on an FCR Original handlebar, for the configuration that works for you. The master cylinders with integrated reservoir stay compact and integrate cleanly into the cockpit.

❯ How do you fit this master cylinder kit?

Fitting is technical and a workshop is strongly recommended. It involves protecting the bike, removing the intake covers, draining the clutch fluid, fitting the new master cylinders, then fully cleaning the circuit to remove the original mineral fluid. You then replace the clutch receiver seal with the Beringer O-ring, switch to DOT4 fluid, bleed the system, circulate the fluid with the lever and check with the engine running. This work is best entrusted to a professional.

❯ Which brake fluid should you use?

You must use DOT4 fluid only. The BMW's original mineral fluid swells the seals of the Beringer master cylinder, which can compromise the system. This is why fitting requires fully cleaning the circuit and switching to DOT4. Never mix or leave mineral fluid in the circuit.

❯ Which finish is available?

The kit comes in black anodised, in its Edition Black version, for a dark, even finish that matches R18 builds. Additional finishes such as chrome, polished or nickel can be considered as an option with a surcharge. Contact us for a specific configuration.
