❯ What is a tubeless spoked wheel and what is the point?

A classic spoked wheel needs an inner tube, because the spoke nipples pass through the rim and make it non-airtight. Kineo developed a patented system that makes the spoked rim perfectly airtight, so it can be used tubeless (without a tube). The benefit is twofold: safety, because a tubeless puncture deflates slowly instead of bursting, and simplicity, because you can repair and fit modern tubeless tyres. All while keeping the authentic look of spoked wheels, unlike cast wheels.
