Triple Tree Kit | Triumph Bobber Modern Classic

A triple tree - also called a triple clamp or yoke - is the part that joins the two fork tubes to the steering stem and lets the front end pivot to steer. A "wide" triple tree spaces the fork tubes further apart to clear a larger front tyre, without altering the rest of the chassis. It's the go-to solution for running a wide, bobber-style front tyre. On the Triumph Modern Classic, the wide triple tree kit designed by FCR Original makes this possible while keeping your original risers and handlebar.

You take off the front wheel, brake and forks, then press the steering stem out of the lower triple tree with a press - supporting the tree so the stem stays vertical and doesn't tilt. The steering-head bearings are then transferred or replaced. This is exactly the first step for fitting the FCR Original wide triple tree kit on your Triumph: the steering shaft is pressed out of the original bottom triple tree and into the new wide one, the bearings are refitted, and the assembly goes back into the steering column. Because it needs a press, we recommend having it done in a workshop.

This kit is designed for the Triumph Bonneville T100 and T120 (2016+), the Street Twin 900 (2016-2022) and the Speed Twin 900 (2022+). Fitting calls for specific tooling: the steering shaft is pressed out of the original bottom triple tree, then pressed into the new wide triple tree; the bearings are refitted, and the assembly is reinstalled in the steering column. Don't forget the wheel axle spacer when refitting the wheel, and tighten the risers with the supplied 10x45 screws. This is not a plug-and-play job: we recommend entrusting it to a workshop equipped with a press. Detailed FR/EN instructions are included.
