A full exhaust system changes a motorcycle's sound by replacing the entire original setup, which releases a deeper, more present tone. It acts on the whole gas path, from the manifolds to the silencers.By removing parts such as the catalytic converter or internal baffling, it reduces restriction and lets the engine express its natural voice. The internal silencer design then shapes the final grain, more or less raw, and the weight usually drops along the way.The Street Bobber exhaust system by FCR Original for the BMW R nineT follows this logic with a low, assertive tone characteristic of the flat-twin.

A non-road-legal exhaust is not allowed on public roads: it is reserved for track, circuit or display use. Road regulations require homologation and emissions and noise levels that this type of system does not meet.In practice, riding on open roads with a non-homologated exhaust can lead to a failed inspection and penalties. These systems are built for performance and sound in closed-course use, free from homologation constraints.The Street Bobber exhaust system by FCR Original for the BMW R nineT falls into this category: it is intended exclusively for track, circuit or display use.

This exhaust system is compatible exclusively with the BMW R nineT, from the 2014 model year onwards. It is not intended for other models.Installation accounts for the model year on the second lambda sensor: on 2014 to 2020 models, a plug stays in place on its location; from 2021, the second sensor is fitted. The first sensor goes back into its dedicated spot.Before ordering, check your R nineT's year; if in doubt, our FCR Accessoires team will confirm eligibility.

Installation is done right side first, then left side, as a direct replacement of the original line, using threadlocker on the screws. 1. Remove the original exhaust system. 2. Present the manifold, loosely tighten it at the cylinder (two original screws) and under the engine (supplied M8x20 screw + M8 washer). 3. Align everything, then tighten securely. 4. Fit the first lambda sensor, then handle the second one according to the model year (plug 2014-2020 or sensor from 2021). 5. Insert the silencer fully (FCR Original plate facing outwards) and secure it at the hooks with the two supplied springs. Repeat on the left side and check the side stand deploys correctly before final tightening. Hardware and springs are supplied.

This exhaust system is made of stainless steel, cut, bent and welded by hand in our FCR Original workshop. It is not a part machined from billet but a carefully shaped assembly. Stainless steel offers excellent durability and good thermal behaviour, suited to the demands of an exhaust system. The FCR Original logo is engraved on the silencers, the mark of a small-batch production. You choose it in a Brushed finish (visible stainless steel) or Black (ceramic / black powder coating).

The Brushed finish leaves the stainless steel visible for a metallic look, while the Black finish receives a black ceramic treatment for a darker, rawer style. Both share the same design. The Black version needs a thermal break-in: carry out several slow heat-ups (3x5 min with a 15-minute pause between each) to stabilise the treatment. The Brushed version does not require this step. Both are available in the FCR Accessoires catalogue under references FCR-BM-EC002-B (Brushed) and FCR-BM-EC002-N (Black).
