The Tony Sun belong to the Bold collection by Brett Eyewear, a line founded on the play of contrasts: thickness and finesse, audacity and elegance. The front face is entirely made of acetate, with a thickness of 5 to 10 mm that sculpts an assertive silhouette, immediately recognisable. The temples, on the contrary, are ultra-thin in stainless steel. A skilful play of volumes that underlines the character of the model, calibrated for those who like to play with the codes by pushing the limits of classic design.
The Tony Sun stands out from the Barry Sun (the other model in the Bold collection) through its larger format. With a lens size of 56 mm versus 55 mm for the Barry, and a narrower bridge (16 mm versus 19 mm), the Tony offers a more assumed visual presence and a more contemporary posture. A more modern silhouette, wider in reading, that integrates particularly well with assertive café racer builds and lifestyle universes with strong character.
The construction combines the best of both worlds in high-end eyewear: premium acetate for depth of colour, tactile warmth and stability over time, and 304 stainless steel for the temples, more corrosion-resistant than standard steels. The acetate thickness on the front brings an assumed visual presence, while the thinness of the stainless steel temples preserves comfort and lightness.
The defining feature of the Tony Sun for motorcyclists: the ultra-thin and flexible 304 stainless steel temples have been specifically designed to slip under a helmet without discomfort at the temples. No more painful pressure after a few kilometres, no more difficulty putting on or removing the helmet between two stops. A precious characteristic for long rides or daily motorcycle use, and one that distinguishes Brett from classic lifestyle eyewear brands.
The high-quality Divel polarized lenses reduce sun reflections on the road, wet asphalt and metallic surfaces. The polarizing filter improves contrast, reduces visual fatigue over long distances and allows for better reading of road relief. A real technical protection that goes beyond the aesthetic function of a simple pair of sunglasses.
Four colours are available depending on your build and wardrobe: Grey / Copper for a sophisticated cool-warm contrast coherent with café racers, Black / Silver for total integration with dark builds, Brown Tortoise / Silver for a classic and warm tortoiseshell signature, Honey Tortoise / Silver for a timeless honey tortoiseshell that matches all outfits. Each pair is delivered in its rigid protective case with microfibre pouch and original Brett craft packaging.

Discover Brett EyewearThe Tony Sun and Barry Sun belong to the same Bold collection by Brett Eyewear, share the same construction (thick acetate front of 5 to 10 mm on ultra-thin 304 stainless steel temples) and the same stylistic philosophy. The main difference lies in the format. The Tony is in large format (lens size 56 mm, bridge 16 mm) with a more modern, wider and more assertive silhouette. The Barry is in medium format (lens size 55 mm, bridge 19 mm) with a wider bridge suited to strong noses, and offers photochromic lenses (versus polarized for the Tony).
The Bold collection by Brett Eyewear is based on a strong stylistic choice: the contrast between thickness and finesse. The front face is in thick acetate (5 to 10 mm), creating an assertive visual presence and an immediately recognisable graphic character. Conversely, the temples are ultra-thin in stainless steel, which preserves lightness and comfort. This play of volumes is what defines the Bold signature: audacity and elegance, with no compromise on either.
Yes. Despite the thick acetate front, the 304 stainless steel temples are ultra-thin and flexible, specifically designed to slip under a helmet without creating pressure on the temples. This is the Brett signature: maintaining comfort under a helmet even on models with an assertive front. The Tony Sun slip easily under Hedon, Bell, Shoei helmets and most standard open-face or full-face helmets.
Both colours are variants of tortoiseshell acetate, but differ in their dominant tone. Brown Tortoise is darker, more uniform in its warm brown tones, ideal for classic neo-retro builds or formal wardrobes. Honey Tortoise is lighter, more marbled, with golden nuances that better capture light. It is more versatile and matches all styles, from café racer builds to relaxed lifestyle looks.
The Tony Sun come in large format (lens size 56 mm). This format suits medium to wide faces (width between temples greater than 135 mm) and builds seeking an assertive visual presence. The 16 mm bridge is narrower than that of the Barry Sun, suiting the majority of nose morphologies. For a narrower face or for those who prefer a more discreet format, other Brett models such as the Vic Sun (medium format) will be more suitable. The FCR Accessoires team can advise you in case of hesitation.
Acetate is a cellulose-based material, considered the high-end reference in eyewear. It offers a depth of colour and tactile quality that injection-moulded plastic cannot match. Acetate is also more resistant to thermal deformation, more stable over time, and allows for complex finishes (marbled, transparent, tortoiseshell, gradient materials). It is the material used by the great French and Italian eyewear houses.
