Hail to the Twin helmet by FCR Original - Limited edition born from the Triumph Originals 2025 contest
The Hail to the Twin helmet is not a simple limited edition: it is the direct extension of a workshop project that engaged FCR Original for several months. In 2025, Triumph Motorcycles organised an international contest gathering eight emblematic builders from eight different countries. The objective: to create the most iconic build on a Triumph base, paying tribute to British cultural heritage. France was represented by FCR Original, the only French builder selected for the 2025 edition.
The result of this collective project: a Triumph Speed Twin 1200 RS entirely reimagined, named Hail to the Twin. Rear loop removed, billet-machined swingarm, central monoshock, CNC front wheel, carbon side plates, stripped tank then varnished in metallic pearl with gold leaf and copper detailing, acid-etched engine covers, paint with Xirallic pigments. A workshop manifesto signed by every member of the FCR Original team, whose names appear on the tank.
The Hail to the Twin helmet was conceived as the natural equipment for this build. Céline, head of painting at the FCR Original workshop, applied to the Hedon Heroine Racer 2.0 base the exact techniques used on the motorcycle: metallic pearl varnish, real gold leaf detailing, Union Jack pattern as a ghost mark in the white pearl paint. The coherence is total between the motorcycle and its helmet, in colour, material and execution.
The design features a glossy metallic pearl white shell crossed by a wide central grey band framed by fine gold leaf details. The Union Jack pattern remains visible as a watermark, a discreet tribute to the common British roots of Triumph and Hedon. A bright red accent underlines the bottom of the shell, the FCR Original signature closes the composition at the rear. The smoked burgundy red visor and polished brass hardware complete the visual identity.
Beneath this custom paint hides the reference quality of the Hedon Heroine Racer 2.0: composite fibreglass and carbon fibre shell, Hed-Armour 360° padded lining, antibacterial Merlin fabric, genuine leather lining and trim, brass Hedon plate, brass DD ring, 3-channel ventilation, dual ECE 22.06 and DOT homologation. The best of British craftsmanship enriched by French craftsmanship.
Each piece is hand-painted in the FCR Original workshop. As the real gold leaf is applied manually, no helmet is strictly identical to the next. A collector's piece to wear as much as to display.
