Upgrade the front braking of your Triumph Trident 660 with this pair of Galfer Wave floating brake discs in stainless steel. Patented petal profile for precise braking and optimised cooling. 310 mm, fits on the original bolts.
These Galfer Wave floating front brake discs were selected by our FCR Accessoires team to upgrade the front end of your Triumph Trident 660. Signed Galfer, a benchmark in motorcycle braking, they replace the original discs with a high-performance pair featuring the petal profile and a floating design, in the spirit of a clean build.
Their first contribution is braking performance. The front discs deliver most of the braking power, and the wave profile patented by Galfer increases the pad's leading edge and cleans the pad better on every rotation, for sharper, more precise braking. Modulation gains in finesse, for better control at the initial bite.
The floating design links the stainless steel braking track to the central carrier with rivets that allow a slight axial play. This mounting compensates for thermal expansion, limits warping under high heat and improves braking consistency. Combined with the open design and wavy profile, it favours heat dissipation, for optimised cooling and better endurance.
Fitting is done on the original bolts, with no modification, and stays reversible. As this is a primary braking part mounted in pairs, respecting the direction of rotation, the tightening torque and progressively bedding in the pads are essential, ideally in a workshop, to guarantee optimal operation from the first miles.
A pair of Galfer-branded discs, road-legal, selected by FCR Accessoires for the Trident 660. Floating wave discs that combine performance, cooling and durability, for more precise front braking on the road as well as in sporty use.

You change front brake discs either to replace worn or warped discs, or to improve braking performance with high-performance discs. The front end delivers most of the braking power, so that is where the gain is most noticeable. Floating wave discs like these offer sharper braking, better modulation and optimised cooling compared with original discs. On a Triumph Trident 660, it is a major braking upgrade.
A floating disc consists of an outer braking track linked to a central carrier by rivets or bobbins that allow a slight play. This mounting lets the track expand freely under heat, without warping, which improves braking consistency and limits distortion under hard braking. Combined with a wave profile, it offers more precise, more enduring braking. It is a sporty design, valued for its behaviour when hot.
The Triumph Trident 660 has a twin-disc front end, one on each side of the wheel. It is essential to replace both discs at the same time to keep balanced, symmetrical braking. This product is therefore sold in pairs (2 discs), which guarantees consistent behaviour and even wear on both sides. Fitting a single new disc alongside a worn one is not advised.
They are designed for the Triumph Trident 660, model years 2021 to 2026, as a replacement for the original front discs. Their dimensions match the original: 310 mm diameter, 217 mm bolt circle, 5 holes. If you are unsure about your version or model year, check compatibility with us before ordering and we will confirm for you.
The discs fit on the original bolts, replacing the front discs: 1) Remove the front wheel. 2) Unscrew and remove both original discs. 3) Fit the Galfer discs, respecting the direction of rotation and the specified tightening torque (thread lock if specified). 4) Refit the wheel. 5) Progressively bed in the pads over the first miles, without harsh braking. As this is a primary safety part, this work is best entrusted to a professional.
Yes, high-performance floating front discs bring more consistent bite and better modulation than original discs, thanks to their increased leading edge and floating design. They improve cooling and behaviour when hot, which limits the drop in performance under repeated braking. The gain is felt most in sustained or sporty use. The pads and the condition of the braking system remain decisive for the result.
