It determines ride height, the front tyre’s ability to maintain constant contact with the road and the management of weight transfer during braking, cornering or acceleration phases. On the R nineT Pure, the original spring rate can show its limits when pace increases or load varies.

The progressive technology developed by Hyperpro is based on a variable pitch winding. At the beginning of the stroke, increased compliance allows better absorption of small irregularities and limits harsh feedback at the handlebars. As compression increases, stiffness rises progressively to provide greater support, reduce brake dive and stabilise the motorcycle’s attitude.

In practical terms, the front end gains stability and clarity.
