The airbox removal kit that lets your Bobber breathe and dresses up its engine

Put together by the FCR Original workshop, this air filter kit removes the original airbox of your Triumph Bobber in favour of two exposed K&N filters. The engine breathes better and the bike gains a real vintage look, with its cone filters on show.

The K&N filters are the heart of the kit. They optimise the air intake on the throttle bodies, add a more present intake note, and are washable and reusable, unlike a paper filter you throw away.

The plates are cut from aluminium by our workshop. Once the airbox is removed, they hide the exposed electronic components and give a clean finish, as if the back of the engine had always been designed this way.

The K&N breather and its tee handle the engine gases cleanly, for a finished installation that stays true to the spirit of a proper build.

The whole kit transforms the bike's silhouette. Where the airbox used to hide everything, you now see mechanical filters and a clean line, in the purest cafe racer and bobber tradition.

Cut from aluminium by FCR Original, they hide the electronic components left exposed when the airbox is removed. A clean, integrated finish, shaped for the lines of the Bobber.

High-performance K&N filters

Two K&N filters optimise the air intake on the throttle bodies and add a more present intake note. Washable and reusable, they are serviced rather than thrown away.

A genuine vintage build look

No more airbox, in come the exposed cone filters. The kit transforms the bike's silhouette and gives it the mechanical, authentic stance of a cafe racer or a bobber.

❯ Why replace your motorcycle's original air filter?

You change the original intake first for the breathing and the style, as performance filters let the engine breathe more freely and give a mechanical look by putting the filters on show. On a neo-retro bike, removing the airbox clears the back of the engine and changes the silhouette dramatically. Quality filters that can be serviced also last over time rather than being replaced.

❯ Does an air filter kit improve performance?

It mainly improves the quality of the air intake and the perceived responsiveness, more than it transforms the power figures. The engine breathes more freely, the intake gains presence, and the whole thing is part of a coherent build. To make the most of the gain, an ECU remap is often recommended.

❯ Is this kit compatible with my motorcycle?

It is designed for the Triumph Bonneville Bobber and the Speedmaster. Two versions exist by model year, Before 2023 and 2023+, because the breather tee fitting differs. Select the version matching your year and, if you are unsure about your model, contact us and we will check for you.

❯ What does the kit contain and what is each part for?

The kit brings together two K&N filters that fit onto the throttle bodies, a K&N breather with its tee to handle engine gases, and two aluminium plates that hide the electronic components once the airbox is removed. The spacer and collar needed for fitting are also included. Everything is provided for a complete, clean transformation.

❯ How do you fit this kit?

Fitting is precise and a workshop visit is recommended. 1. Remove the original side covers and airbox. 2. Secure the plates with the original screws. 3. Drill the left K&N filter at the stated diameters to refit the original air sensor. 4. Install both filters on the throttle bodies. 5. Fit the breather with its tee and tighten the collars. On 2023+ models, the breather tee is fitted as shown in the instructions.

❯ Is this kit road legal?

Removing the airbox with open filters affects emissions and approval, and the rules vary from one country to another. Depending on your local regulations, this modification may be reserved for specific use. An ECU remap is also often recommended for optimal running. If in doubt, check before riding on the open road or ask us for advice.

Shipping is carried out within 24 to 48 working hours after validation of the order.

What are the delivery times?

France : 2 to 4 working days via tracked Colissimo, Mondial Relay or UPS.

Europe : 3 to 7 working days.

International : 5 to 10 working days depending on the destination.

Do you offer order tracking?

Yes, each customer receives a personalized tracking number by email upon shipment.

You can track the progress of your package in real time.

Which carriers do you use?

We work with premium carriers (Colissimo tracking with or without signature, Mondial Relay, UPS or Fedex depending on destination and customer choice) to guarantee speed and security.

Très bon kit si vous êtes novice, comptez 3/4 heures de montage mais le résultat en vaut la peine que l’entretien plus de jantes à nettoyer je trouve que l’esthétique est bien aussi
