Improve the precision and consistency of your Triumph Thruxton or Scrambler 1200 braking with this straight banjo brake hose, PTFE core and stainless steel braid. Visible braid or black finish.
The FCR Accessoires straight banjo brake hose was designed for Triumph models fitted with low handlebars, in particular Thruxton and Scrambler 1200 X / XC / XE. On these motorcycles with a lowered or forward riding position, the straight banjo limits mechanical stress on the hose, naturally follows the original wiring routing, and preserves a clean visual cockpit. A direct response to café racer or sport scrambler builds, where an angled banjo is not optimal.
The development meets a requirement inspired by competition standards. This hose offers a more direct and consistent brake feel than the original rubber line. It reduces parasitic sensations at the lever and brings a more precise response, particularly appreciable in sport use or when seeking better brake modulation. The stainless steel braided sleeve limits hose expansion under pressure and improves hydraulic force transmission.
The construction is based on a PTFE Teflon core, technology derived from 600 Series aviation hoses, designed to withstand high pressures and compatible with DOT brake fluids, oils, water and hydraulic fluids. This versatility makes the hose usable both on the brake circuit and on the hydraulic clutch. The outer stainless steel braid sleeve protects the PTFE core against abrasion and impacts.
Two finishes are available depending on your build: visible stainless braid to enhance the technical reading of the brake circuit, or black sleeving for more discreet integration on darker motorcycles. The hose is compatible with the aesthetic of low-handlebar Triumph Modern Classics, with no visual break with the rest of the motorcycle.
Fitting is a direct replacement of the original hose, without frame or master cylinder modification. The fittings are designed to comply with DOT standards and guarantee perfect sealing after installation. An intervention recommended to an experienced mechanic or a workshop, with mandatory bleeding of the circuit after installation.

Yes. This hose is compatible with the entire Triumph Thruxton range (Thruxton, Thruxton R, Thruxton RS) as well as Triumph Scrambler 1200 X, Scrambler 1200 XC and Scrambler 1200 XE. It is specifically designed for these motorcycles with low or forward riding positions, where the straight banjo naturally follows the original wiring routing.
The 90° banjo is an angled fitting that allows the hose to be routed perpendicular to the master cylinder. It is suited to motorcycles with high handlebars such as Triumph Bonneville T100/T120, Bobber, Speedmaster or Triumph 400. The straight banjo follows a rectilinear routing, better suited to the low or forward handlebars of Triumph Thruxton and Scrambler 1200. The choice depends solely on the configuration of your riding position.
Yes. The PTFE structure with stainless steel braid limits hose expansion under pressure. Where an original rubber hose deforms slightly with each lever press (absorbing part of the hydraulic energy), the stainless braid hose transmits force more directly. The result is a firmer, more precise brake feel with better progressiveness. The difference is particularly perceptible in sport riding, on track, or during emergency braking.
Yes. The hose is compatible with hydraulic clutch and brake circuits. The 600 Series aviation technology and PTFE core support DOT brake fluids, hydraulic oils, water and the main fluids used on motorcycles. This versatility makes it a unique solution for different hydraulic circuits.
The fitting itself is direct on compatible models, without modification. However, replacing a brake hose necessarily involves a complete bleeding of the hydraulic circuit after installation. If you do not have experience with this operation or specific tooling (bleeder, fresh brake fluid, bleeding kit), it is strongly recommended to call on a mechanic or workshop. An improperly bled brake system can be dangerous.
Yes. The stainless steel braid used is selected for its corrosion and abrasion resistance. In normal road use, it retains its bright metallic appearance for several years. Occasional cleaning with a dedicated stainless steel product preserves its shine. The black sleeving offers more discreet integration and masks any potential signs of use.
