The radiator guard with returns for BMW R12 and R12 nineT (from 2023) was designed to address a simple observation: on these motorcycles, the radiator remains directly exposed on the front line to gravel projections, insects and daily impacts. Inadequate or absent protection quickly leads to bent or damaged fins, which alters cooling efficiency and degrades the visual value of the motorcycle. This guard provides a direct response: real mechanical protection, combined with a strong aesthetic signature.

The honeycomb pattern is an FCR Original design, conceived to integrate naturally with the neo-retro philosophy of the R12 without disrupting the visual coherence of the front section. Its laser cutting in aluminium guarantees a finish accuracy to a tenth of a millimetre, with no burrs or sharp edges. The FCR logo subtly embossed at the centre of the guard signs the origin of the part.

The version with side returns extends the protection to the sides of the radiator, where oblique projections are most frequent in riding conditions. The returns also bring a more enveloping visual rendering that gives more structure to the front block of the motorcycle. Available in brushed aluminium finish for clear metallic integration, or black epoxy for darker builds.

The complete kit includes everything required for fitting: guard, specific TBHC M5 hardware, spacers and clamping nuts. Installation is quick, fully reversible, and requires no frame modification or drilling. A few minutes of work for an immediate visual and functional result.

Yes. This guard is compatible with the BMW R12 (2023 and later) and the R12 nineT (2024 and later). It fits directly onto the radiator's existing mounting points without modification or drilling. The supplied mounting kit covers all configurations in the R12 New Heritage range.

The version without returns only protects the front face of the radiator. Fitting is carried out with the hardware supplied in the kit: 2 M5x10 screws, 2 M5x16 screws, 2 M5 spacers and 2 M5 clamping nuts. The guard fits onto the motorcycle's existing mounting points, without requiring drilling of the frame or radiator. Standard tooling is sufficient. The operation takes a few minutes for a rider with basic experience.

❯ Which finish should I choose between brushed aluminium and black epoxy?

The brushed aluminium finish brings a clear metallic appearance, coherent with R12s with a natural look or builds emphasising contrast with the dark engine block. The black epoxy finish integrates with R12s in dark liveries and builds seeking a more discreet visual coherence. The honeycomb pattern remains legible in both finishes, with a different light.

❯ Is the guard reversible if I want to sell the BMW with its original parts?

Yes. Installation is fully reversible. Simply remove the guard using standard tooling to extract the hardware. No alteration to the motorcycle is made during fitting. The guard can be kept as a personalisation part to transfer to another motorcycle or to be sold separately.

Perfect fit for the 2026 Bobber and I like that it is not the traditional Union Jack style!

Triumph Trident 660 Café Racer Kit

I can only recommend this company. The kit for my Trident is spot on, both in terms of quality and design. It’s the perfect setup if you want to turn your bike into a really personal café racer. Sure, making all the parts took a bit of time, but with the quality you get in the end, that’s absolutely fine.

Belle pièce et service très bon

Le traitement de la commande a été très rapide et la livraison était parfaite.
Concernant la pièce, le look est très bien et conforme à ce que j'attendait. Une étoile en moins à cause la finition qui n'est pas tout à fait à niveau avec des traces sur l'alu brossé et un ébavurage aurait été le bienvenu.
