The Chuck model takes up the codes of the large classic format: a present frame, assertive angles, an immediate reading reminiscent of the sunglasses worn by actors and riders of the era. The construction relies on a mastered combination of high-quality acetate and 304 stainless steel. The acetate brings the depth of colour, tactile warmth and lightness characteristic of premium frames. The 304 stainless steel, more resistant to corrosion than standard steels, structures the temples and guarantees mechanical durability over time despite the repeated handling of regular motorcycle use.

The defining feature of the Chuck Sun for motorcyclists: the ultra-thin and flexible temples have been specifically designed to slip under a helmet without discomfort at the temples. No more painful pressure after a few kilometres, no more difficulty putting on or removing the helmet between two stops. The high-quality Divel polarized lenses reduce sun reflections on the road, wet asphalt and metallic surfaces. ❯ Are the Chuck Sun really comfortable under a helmet?

Yes. This is the major differentiating point of Brett Eyewear: the 304 stainless steel temples have been specifically designed to be ultra-thin and flexible, allowing them to easily slip under a helmet without creating pressure on the temples. Unlike classic lifestyle sunglasses whose thick temples quickly cause discomfort under the helmet, the Chuck Sun remain comfortable even on long rides. The large format also does not exceed the helmet opening on most Hedon, Bell, Shoei and standard open-face helmet models.

❯ What is the difference between the three available colours?

The Khaki / Silver colour offers a vintage military shade that integrates with scrambler, trail and roadster builds with natural dominants. The Crystal / Silver offers a refined transparency that enhances bright builds, neo-retro and minimalist café racers. The Grey / Copper combines cool grey and warm copper, in coherence with dark, bobber and assertive café racer builds. The choice mostly depends on your wardrobe and the visual universe of your motorcycle.

❯ What does "polarized lenses" mean and what is the benefit for motorcycling?

A polarized lens is fitted with a filter that eliminates light reflections from flat surfaces: wet roads, dry asphalt, car bonnets, windows, metallic surfaces. For the motorcyclist, this translates into a much better reading of the road, an accentuated contrast between shadow and light areas, and a significant reduction in visual fatigue over long distances. The Divel lenses used by Brett are high-end, guarantee faithful chromatic stability and provide complete protection against UVA and UVB rays.

❯ What is the difference between acetate and standard plastic?

Acetate is a cellulose-based material, considered the high-end reference in eyewear. It offers a depth of colour and tactile quality that injection-moulded plastic cannot match. Acetate is also more resistant to thermal deformation, more stable over time, and allows for complex finishes (marbled, transparent, gradient materials). It is the material used by the great French and Italian eyewear houses.

The Chuck Sun come in large format (lens size 57 mm). This format suits medium to wide faces and builds seeking an assertive visual presence. To check compatibility with your face, measure the width of your face between the temples: if it is greater than 135 mm, the large format is suitable. For a narrower face, Brett offers other models in medium or small format. The FCR Accessoires team can advise you in case of hesitation.

Each pair of Chuck Sun is delivered in its original Brett packaging: a rigid protective case for storage and transport, a microfibre travel pouch to clean the lenses daily, and a Brett-signed craft packaging. The Brett warranty applies according to the brand's terms.
